Telangana Congress members including Bhatti Vikramarka, T Jayaprakash Reddy, Madhu Yashaki Goud, Mahesh Kumar Goud, G Niranjan, V Hanumantha Rao, Renuka Chowdhury and all top leaders on Monday gave peaceful Satyagraha initiations in all 119 assembly constituencies of the state. The central government withdrew the Agneepath scheme.
Stating that the Congress would hold a protest on July 1 and 2 against Agneepath and rising prices of essential commodities, Revanth demanded that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Before coming to Telangana to attend the BJP’s two-day national executive meeting, Parliament should apologize to the people of Telangana for their remarks on state formation and the youth for coming up with the short-lived Agneepath plan.
“The Agneepath scheme has been brought without debate in the Parliament. The people of the country especially the middle and poor section of the society had to suffer when PM Modi implemented demonetisation without any plan. There are apprehensions that even the short-term Agneepath scheme may harm the country in the long run,” said Shabbir Ali.
In another development, members of TRS and other parties from Khammam district, including former councilor Rama Murthy Naik, former ZPTC Bharti. He called upon the people to defeat TRS and save Telangana.
Former Union Minister Renuka Chowdhury condemned the alleged attack on Podu women farmers by forest and police in Bhadradri-Kothagudem and Khammam districts. “CM KCR has failed to fulfill his promise of solving the problem of Podu land,” he said.
