Telangana government has revised the dearness allowance and dearness relief

The State Government has announced a revision of Dearness Allowance to its employees and Dearness Relief to State Government pensioners from 17.29% to 20.02% of the basic pay/pension.

The monetary benefit of revised dearness relief will be applicable from 1 July 2021. The revised DA will be paid on February 1 along with January 2023 salary.

The revision in DR will be applicable to those employees who have retired from service on or after July 1, 2018 and are drawing pension as per the revised pay scales. This will also be applicable to those employees who retired prior to 1st July, 2018 and whose pension was consolidated as per Government orders issued earlier. Revised dearness relief has also been announced for pensioners drawing pension in revised pay scale 2015 from 51.876 per cent to 55.536 per cent of basic pension with effect from July 1, 2021, with monetary benefits.

The government, in an order issued on Monday, said that service pension under the Revised Pension Rules, 1951, Andhra Pradesh Liberalized Pension Rules, 1961, Andhra Pradesh Government Servants (Family Pension) Rules, 1964 and service pension, family pension of the state government Pensioners were eligible for the Revised Dearness Relief Rules, 1980. Similarly, it is applicable to teachers and non-teaching employees drawing pension under the Contributory Provident Fund-cum-Pension and Gratuity Rules, 1961 as well as to teaching and non-teaching pensioners of municipalities, panchayat raj institutions and aided educational institutions. Will also apply to Recipients of Compassionate Pension under the Rules of Compassionate Pension and Gratuity in the Hyderabad Civil Services Rules.
