Agitating farmers of Kamareddy town have demanded the resignation of the municipal councilors representing the villages to be merged with the municipality in protest against the proposed master plan to create an industrial zone along with the farmers’ land. A Joint Action Committee leading the movement has set a January 20 deadline for the resignations.
2. Story on new format of question paper for Class X board exams in the wake of complaints from students that long and short questions were difficult to answer. The State Council for Educational Research and Training has deputed subject experts to prepare new model exam papers by the end of February to address the concerns of the students.
