London [UK]October 27 (ANI): The official cover and title of Prince Harry’s much-awaited memoir were finally unveiled by its publishers on Thursday.
According to People magazine, confirming reports of the memoir’s January 10, 2023 release date, Penguin Random House revealed the cover of the upcoming book with the title ‘Spare’ on Twitter.
Sharing the cover of the memoir, which featured a close-up photo of Harry’s face staring straight ahead, softly lit from behind, the publishing house wrote, “We are Prince Harry, the Duke of the We are excited to announce the remarkably personal and emotionally powerful story of Duke. Sussex. The spare, much-awaited #PrinceHarryMemoir, will be published on January 10, 2023.”
People magazine reported that in a statement about the memoir, Penguin Random House said that the 416-page book would find Harry telling his story with “raw, unshakable honesty.” He added that it is “a historical revelation filled with insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.”
The publisher notes that ‘Spare’ “immediately transports readers to one of the most fascinating images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin, watching the world in sorrow and horror.”
“As Diana, Princess of Wales was laid to rest, Arabs wondered what the prince must have been thinking and feeling – and how his life would go from that point on,” Penguin Random House told People magazine.
The outlet shared that ‘Spare’ will release simultaneously in North America and the UK. In addition, Harry has announced that he is donating his proceeds to two charities.
After the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Page Six previously reported that Harry was trying to revise the book, which was initially to be published in November.
In an interview with Page Six in October, “Revenge” writer Tom Bower claimed the royal family was “extremely nervous” about the planned book and referred to it as a “time bomb”.
“I think everyone knows that the Sussexes cannot amend the book in any way,” he explained. “Can they make it nastier? Because otherwise, we wouldn’t get the sale.”
According to Page Six, Prince Harry and Meghan are also working on a Netflix documentary series that depicts their lives in California after stepping down as senior royals. (ANI)
