According to a survey, India has the strongest hiring sentiment in the last eight years, with an improvement of five percentage points over the previous quarter and 43 percentage points from a year ago.
According to the latest Manpower Group Employment Outlook Survey, ‘Great resignations’ in India Recruitment in IT and technology sector companies is affecting sentiments.
Sandeep Gulati, Managing Director, ManpowerGroup India, said, “Due to skill constraints, talent shortage persists and it is becoming increasingly difficult for companies to find and hire the right talent.”
According to this survey, India reported the strongest recruitment prospects in the Asia-Pacific region (+49%), followed by Australia (+37%) and Hong Kong (+37%), while the weakest regional labor expected to hit the market. Japan (+11%), Taiwan (+13%) and Singapore (+14%).
The survey further states that digital roles are the most sought after. IT, technology, telecom, communication and media reported the strongest outlook (60 per cent), followed by restaurants and hotels (56 per cent) and banking, finance, insurance and real estate (52 per cent).

According to the report, another sector that benefited from the festive season was hospitality/travel, which registered a year-on-year growth of 58%. The telecom sector also continued its upward trajectory, growing at 91% annually.
According to the survey, “Recruitment activity in November ’21 also increased in key employment generating sectors – IT-software (+50%) and banking/financial services (+30%) as compared to November’20.”
