The Hindu Lit For Life is scheduled to be held on January 18 and 19, 2025, at multiple venues in Chennai

The Hindu Lit for Life, The Hindu’s annual literature festival, is just around the corner. Featuring an array of celebrated writers, journalists, columnists, and politicians from across the country and abroad, the festival will be held on January 18 and 19, 2025, at multiple venues in Chennai.

The literature festival will have Dr. Abraham Verghese, Jenny Erpenbeck, Michael Hofmann, Shashi Tharoor, Peter Frankopan, Nalini Malani, Amal Allana, Sunitha Krishnan, and Aruna Roy, to name a few, as speakers.

In addition to various curated discussions on politics, current affairs, sport, culture, and other topics, The Hindu Lit For Life will offer hands-on creative workshops on writing, art, and more.

Session for children

The festival will also have a separate session for children between eight and 15 years by popular British author David Walliams, which will be held on January 18 from 2.15 p.m. to 3.05 p.m. A child can be accompanied by one adult only, and those interested can register for this session at https://bit.ly/LFLDW or via the QR code below.

Imprint: The Paper and Book Project, curated by Sharan Apparao and Shijo Jacob, which looks at the connections between art and literature, is yet another highlight of The Hindu Lit For Life. The two-day festival will be held at Sir Mutha Concert Hall, The Hindu Pavilion, and The Annex (Lady Andal School premises) in Chennai.
