San Pedro Huamelula Mayor Victor Hugo Sosa married a seven-year-old crocodile on Thursday in a centuries-old ritual. He also kissed the reptile whose mouth was closed. The tradition dates back centuries to pre-Hispanic times among the Chontal and Huawe indigenous communities of the state of Oaxaca, such as prayer prayers for the reward of nature. ,
