AFruit biscuits from Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad, Fer Osmania Biscuits are probably the most demanding. Built by a heritage brand, everyone – whether tourists or locals – know that this biscuit is now a part of Hyderabad’s legacy. But it is becoming increasingly likely to happen Karachi Bakery Someday can be forced to change their name, just because some people are unable to understand that the name of the bakery has been left to remind all its owners of their roots.

Every time there is a conflict between India and Pakistan, the right-wing elements are the heads of Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad-or anywhere else in the country to target it due to its name. This time, it also happened in Vizag. In Hyderabad at the flagship store, the owners were reportedly asked to lay a national flag at the main door as tension between India and Pakistan increased after the terrorist attack in Pahgam, Kashmir.

Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad stands at the intersection of the historic Moazam Jehi Market Junction and is a milestone in itself. It is no secret that the owners were originally from Karachi and established a very loving bakery in Hyderabad in 1953. According to its website, it was founded by Khande Ramnani, who moved to India after partition in 1947.

The owners of Karachi Bakery are in the form of Hyderabadi – and Indian – as someone else. Forcing them to prove their loyalty simply because they chose to remember their hometown, which they had to leave after partition, it is not just inappropriate – it is derogatory. Trolling is being done, being abused, and questioning their loyalty is only bad on our society.

There is one Bombay Bakery in SindhHas been working peacefully since 1911. In Hyderabad, Pakistan, that bakery has never faced trouble in its name – despite India and Pakistan, he had fought many wars since partition.

This time, after the tension increased to include drone strikes and shelling, a group of people protested outside the outlet of Karachi Bakery in Vijag, Andhra Pradesh. While no such incident has happened in Hyderabad till now, the owner had to appeal to the citizens in public to not target them.

“We are proud of Indians. Karachi Bakery is a 100% Indian brand, established in Hyderabad, India in 1953. Our name is a part of our history, not our nationality. Please support us who we are … An Indian brand is serving India. with Love, “the brand has written in one Instagram Post.

The current owners also told PTI that the name lies in the legacy of division-era, not ideology. The fact that so much trolling and hate is directed to its name in an Indian brand, showing how bad we are with our past and heritage.

No matter what happens in the world, we cannot change our past. The fact is that India and Pakistan share a long, mutual history. Therefore, it should not be surprising that families want to respect their previous use names that remind them of their origin.

We are to deny their decision to preserve a part of the Ramnani family through their legacy and the name of the bakery? This is part of their identity. There is also a Hyderabad in Pakistan – should we erase our own Hyderabad or change its name because of that? The name has nothing to do with the politics of our neighboring country, and anyone should understand with understanding.

I am sure many protesters in Vizag have regular customers of Karachi Bakery – but understand why the name for the family matters can be beyond their comprehension.

Anyone uncomfortable by the name of Indian right-wing-or Karachi Bakery-it needs to be understood that they are targeting a Hindu family who has already faced the trauma of partition. Every time these unnecessary attacks have a conflict to subdue them to more pain. There is an dissatisfaction for our shared history and heritage.

Everyone in Hyderabad can do – and who gives importance to our cultural heritage – should speak in support of Karachi Bakery. They are safe, respected and worth feeling love.
