Around 100 riders will gather at the MMRT this weekend for the second round of the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship 2021, which will feature some super-quick superbikes as well as home machines.
Super Sport 851-1050cc and categories above 1051cc will be the title of the race. Hemant Mudappa, the defending national champion from Bengaluru, rode the BMW S1000 RR 1051cc and has been dominating the above category, but lost to Hyderabad’s Mohammad Riaz (Yamaha R1) in the 851-1050cc category in the first round in August.
In addition to the above two major categories, the card also includes races in six other classes: 2-stroke (Super Sport) up to 130cc and 131-165cc; Girls (4-stroke) up to 165cc; and Super Sport Indian up to 165cc, 226-360cc and 361-550cc.
