Sharing a post on X, the US State State Department said, “The state department authorizes a foreign military sales (FMS) case for India that is to buy Indo-Pacific Maritime Domain Awareness Software and Related Equipment for an estimated cost of $ 131 million.

The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency said on Wednesday, “The State Department has approved a potential foreign military sales for India, which approves a potential foreign military sales for an estimated cost of USD 131 million for the estimated cost of India-Pacific Pire Domain Awareness and Related Equipment. Defense Security Cooperation Agency today gave necessary evidence to the Congress of this potential sales.”

It said, “The Government of India requested to buy sevise software (including requested software enhancement); Technical Assistance Sector Team (TAFT) training; distance software and analytical support; access to sevision documentation; and support of logistics and other related elements of the program. The estimated total cost is USD131 million.”

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency further stated that the proposed sales would support the United States Foreign Policy and National Security objectives by helping strengthening the US-Indian strategic relations and improving the security of a major defense partner which remains a significant force for political stability, peace and economic progress in Indo-Pacific and South Asia regions.
