Bhagwant Mann, who is called the Chief Minister of Punjab, gave a victory speech in Sangrur on Thursday. Mann promised to eradicate unemployment and said that the youth of Punjab would now get employment.
“Will work for Punjab” AAPThe chief ministerial candidate of the state thanked the people of the state. He also said, “Punjab has been lost by all the big guns.”
As AAP looked set for a clean sweep in Punjab, party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday congratulated the people of the state “for this revolution”.
In a tweet in Hindi, Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal said, “Many congratulations to the people of Punjab for this revolution.”
In the tweet, he also posted a picture of AAP standing with chief ministerial candidate and MP Bhagwant Mann, with both the leaders indicating victory.
As per the trends available at 12:30 pm, AAP was leading in 90 out of 117 assembly seats.
Trends indicated that the ruling Congress has been wiped out in Punjab, while the SAD, which contested in alliance with the BSP, failed to make much impact.
In Delhi, AAP workers gathered outside the party headquarters and erupted in celebration. He danced fiercely on Punjabi songs.
