The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a platform that pits great players against each other. The beauty of the tournament is watching the cricketers of the same national team lock horns with full intensity. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin says he enjoys bowling against Virat Kohli and Indian cricket’s flag bearer Rohit Sharma. He also revealed that both the batsmen do not like being dismissed by their Indian teammates.
Rohit and Kohli had good numbers against Ashwin in the IPL. The Mumbai Indians skipper has scored 109 runs and has been dismissed twice by the off-spinner. On the other hand, the former RCB captain has scored 160 runs against Ashwin and has lost his wicket just once.

In a conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, Ashwin termed both his teammates as ‘quality batsmen’. Since he doesn’t get a chance to play against him often, he is looking forward to IPL 2022.
To be honest, I love face-to-face with Virat and Rohit. I think they are the two quality batsmen who have played with me inside the dressing room and not the two batsmen against whom I have had repeated competition at the international level. But I get a chance to go against him in the IPL format so I love going against him. He doesn’t like bowling out bowlers inside the team so I enjoy the competition and look forward to it every year,” said Ashwin.
