Various success stories often go viral on the internet. Recently, one such story of Ankit Prasad, a young entrepreneur from the small town of Chaibasa in Jharkhand, is garnering attention. According to reports, his father initially worked as a lab in-charge at Tata College in Chaibasa. He later secured a position at IIT Jamshedpur. From a young age, Ankit and his brother Rahul developed a strong interest in web designing. During their school years, they began exploring various websites and turned their passion into a small venture. Their craze for computers was further encouraged when their father gifted them a computer in 1995. By the age of six, Ankit had already started learning programming. Ankit made his place in the top three in the 10th class examination. In 2005, along with studying in college, Ankit and Rahul also started earning through web services. They started making websites for hotels and restaurants. But just like the youth of small towns dream of getting admission in IIT, Ankit also had similar dreams. So, he gave the IIT entrance exam in 2007 and secured a rank above 5000. Although he was getting admission in NIT Jamshedpur on the basis of his rank, he did not take it.

For the second time, he gave the IIT entrance exam in 2008 and secured the 400th rank. Finally, he got admission to IIT Delhi in 2008 and started studying mathematics and computer programming, but after coming here he got the opportunity to meet many types of people.

Ankit says that when he saw the world of innovation and the ideas of innovative people, his mind also started turning towards doing something innovative.

Ankit says, “That at that time Delhi’s startup ecosystem was pulling us. Seeing companies like Zomato and Flipkart emerging, we decided that we also had to do something big.”

Ankit further added, after coming to IIT Delhi, he worked with many companies and learned a lot. After this, he created a social networking platform, Touch Talent, but it was not very successful. To fulfill his dreams, he left IIT Delhi in 2012; and in 2015, along with his brother Rahul, created Bobble AI. This company created the Bobble Indic Keyboard, which supports about 120 languages, including 37 languages of India. In 2023, the revenue of Ankit’s company was Rs 750 crore.
