Thor: Love and Thunder impresses Marvel fans; Twitterati says Chris Hemsworth is ‘fantastic’, Christian Bale’s gore is ‘best villain’ – Times of India

Chris Hemsworth stars in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest offering Thor: Love and Thunder Thor And Christian Bale Released in India today as the antagonist Gore. Fans of the franchise seem impressed by Taika Waititi’s directorial as they took to Twitter to praise the film. Viewers especially seem to have liked Christian Bale’s villainous portrayal as Gorr. Some of them have called him ‘the best villain in the MCU’.

Natalie Portman Joe was missing as Thor’s ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster, in Thor: Love and Thunder, the last film in the franchise, Thor: Ragnarok. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, the advance bookings in India crossed the Rs 20 crore mark in collections and the film opened to 40-45 per cent occupancy, which is very good for a non-holiday release. In an exclusive chat, ETimes asked director Taika Waititi how much of Thor’s sense of humor came from Chris Hemsworth and how much came from him. “It’s a mix, a mix. Chris is a very funny guy. He’s having a good time, he’s sharp. My humor is a little more surreal, I don’t know how to describe, but it’s a combination of the two of us.” Plus, it looks like it’s working perfectly. We had a lot of fun on set. Thor is really Chris!” They said.

Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth film in the Thor franchise, following Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and Thor: Ragnarok (2017).
