JAIPUR: After the appointment of chairpersons in state boards and corporations, the government has decided to give cabinet rank to three former ministers, which will put a heavy burden on the exchequer.
three Congress Leader – Dr. Chandra Bhan, Brijkishore Sharma and former Leader of the Opposition Rameshwar Doody Cabinet minister status. All the presidents will get the status of ministers of state.
The government has so far announced appointed chairpersons in 47 commissions, boards and corporations to keep political leaders happy. Chandrabhan, who is also the former PCC chairman, is the vice chairman of the Twenty Point Program Implementation and Coordination Committee. Rameshwar Dudi has been appointed as the chairman of Rajasthan State Agro Industries Development Board, while former minister Brijkishore Sharma has been made the chairman. Rajasthan Khadi and Village Industries Board and enjoy cabinet rank.
The government released the first list of political appointments on February 9, when 58 leaders, including 11 legislators, were appointed as chairpersons/vice presidents of 44 state-level commissions, boards and corporations. The second list was released on February 28, in which 74 names, including three chairmen, four vice-chairmen and 67 members of three commissions, were approved by various state commissions and boards.
According to a spokesperson, “All other presidents will be given the status of ministers of state.”
