Thrikkakara bypolls: Last-minute candidates trying to woo voters

silent campaign for Trikkakara by-election Candidates from major fronts reached the maximum number of voters on Monday.

Congress candidate Uma Thomas boarded the Kochi Metro train from the station near Cochin University of Science and Technology and traveled till Palarivattam. He interacted with the passengers and sought their cooperation. Ms. Thomas started the day by meeting voters at Keerelimala near Athani in Kakkanad. Congress workers accompanied him to an apartment complex in Edapally. The candidate also participated in the foundation day celebrations of the Kerala Students Union.

Left Democratic Front candidate Joe Joseph used a silent campaign to connect with voters in various regions. He visited Kambivelikam in the morning and thereafter met people at Moolapadam. The candidate later made a whirlwind tour of various places in Kadavantara. He also attended a funeral at Marotichodu.

National Democratic Alliance candidate AN Radhakrishnan started the campaign by visiting Sri Poornathrayasa temple in Thripunithura. He later held personal interactions with voters in Chambakkara, and met people in areas including Elamkulam, Kadavantara and Vennala.

The workers associated with the major fronts remained active during the day by contacting their friends and well-wishers over the phone. Political parties also completed arrangements to ensure maximum turnout on Tuesday.
