Short video-sharing platform TikTok has overtaken Google as the most popular in late 2021, according to data released by Web security and performance company Cloudflare. As reported by Cloudflare, TikTok topped the list for a day for the first time on February 17, 2021. Back in March, TikTok got a few more days and in May as well, but it was after August 10, 2021, that TikTok took over. Lead on most days.
“There were some days when Google was #1, but October and November were mostly TikTok days, including Thanksgiving (November 25) and Black Friday (November 26),” the report said.

Notably, TikTok has been banned in India for security reasons.
