Here’s a look at what’s still at stake:
Premier League
Title Race: Manchester City lead Liverpool by one point in the final round of Sunday’s matches and Steven Gerrard’s win against Aston Villa at the Etihad will give them their fourth title in five seasons.
Had they slipped, quadruple-chasing Liverpool could snatch the booty with a win at home to Wolves.
Race to Europe: Fourth-placed Tottenham held a two-point advantage over Arsenal after their north London rivals suffered a series of defeats. Due to their superior goal difference, a draw at bottom club Norwich would also secure a place in the Champions League. Spurs need to defeat Arsenal and win their home game with Everton.
Chelsea are already in the top four along with City and Liverpool.
Sixth-placed Manchester United need a win at Crystal Palace to stay on their Europa League slot, with West Ham just two points behind.
Relegation/Promotion: Watford and Norwich have already been relegated and Burnley and Leeds are struggling to avoid joining them. They both have 35 points but Burnley have a much better goal difference. On the final day of Sunday, Burnley play Newcastle while Leeds travel to Brentford.
Fulham and Bournemouth are automatically promoted from the Championship, with Huddersfield taking on Nottingham Forest in the play-off final on 29 May.
Serie A
Title Race: AC Milan are in pole position to win their first league title since 2011, needing just one draw in Sassuolo on Sunday to capture defending champions Inter.
If AC Milan loses, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter could grab the Scudetto with a win over Sampdoria at the San Siro.
Race to Europe: Napoli and Juventus have already qualified for the Champions League group stage along with the two Milan giants.
Fifth-placed Lazio will be in next season’s Europa League. Only one point separates Roma, Fiorentina and Atalanta. One would qualify for the Europa League, the other would have to settle for the Europa Conference League and the eighth-placed team would miss out entirely.
Relegation/Promotion: Both Genoa and Venezia have already been relegated to Serie B Salernitana, on a seven-match unbeaten run, with 18th-placed Cagliari on Sunday and two points away from hosts Udinese.
Lecce and Cremonese have been promoted to the top flight, with four other clubs still battling in the play-offs.
LaLiga
Title Race: Real Madrid took the title from city rivals Atlético.
Race to Europe: Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are confident of joining Real in the Champions League. Real Betis and Real Sociedad will be in the Europa League.
Villarreal leads Athletic Bilbao in the Battle of the Europa Conference League.
Relegation/Promotion: One from Cadiz, Real Mallorca and Granada will be joined by Alves and Levante. The three teams are separated by one point, with Cádiz currently holding in the undefeated 18th place but touring Alves in the bottom.
league 1
Title Race: Paris Saint-Germain have already won their eighth title in 10 seasons and are 15 points clear.
Race to Europe: Second-placed Monaco led third-placed Marseille on goal difference, and fourth-placed Rennes, who has the best goal difference of all three, by three points. The league runners-up qualify for the Champions League group stage, the third head in the qualifying round and the fourth to settle for a Europa League berth.
Strasbourg, two points behind Rennes, could still take fourth place, but could also lose its Europa Conference League place to Nice or Lens. Nantes has qualified for the Europa League by winning the French Cup.
Relegation/Promotion: All have been relegated, trailing Bordeaux by three points but with the worst goal difference, leaving Metz and Saint-Etienne behind. One of Metz and Saint-Etienne will go straight down and one will go to the play-offs.
Toulouse and Ajaccio are promoted, with either Auxerre or Sochaux to face the 18th-placed club from Ligue 1.
Bundesliga
Title Race: Bayern Munich won their 10th consecutive title, eight points behind Borussia Dortmund.
Race to Europe: Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig qualified for the Champions League along with Bayern and Dortmund. Union Berlin and Freiburg missed the final day and will play in the Europa League. Cologne are in the Conference League.
Relegation/Promotion: Grüther Fuerth and Arminia Bielefeld were dropped. Schalke and Werder Bremen were promoted. Hertha Berlin and Hamburg are playing a two-legged playoff to determine the final place in next season’s Bundesliga. Hamburg won the first leg 1-0 on Thursday.
