Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday accused the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal of “grabbing the rule of law” in the state and showing little respect for the judiciary.
He was replying to the alleged statement of West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC leader Mamata Banerjee Where he talked about the abuse of powers.
In the statement, it had claimed that all democratic powers were being confiscated by a few.
Rijiju tweeted in the middle of the night, “Mamata didi telling the truth about West Bengal as TMC party has very little respect for judiciary and no respect for judges.”
He alleged that TMC has established ‘Rule by TMC Law’ instead of ‘Rule of Law’. “And democracy is bleeding, and weeping in West Bengal,” he said.
