TMKOC: Munmun Dutta slams netizens for age-shaming after rumors of her relationship with co-star Raj Anadkat
The rumors of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Raj Anadkat aka Tappu and Munmun Dutta aka Babita dating have taken the internet by storm. There is a nine-year age difference between the two which has raised many questions about their relationship. For the oblivious, Raj is 24 years old while Munmun is 9 years older than him. Now, in her new post, Munmun has slammed netizens for age-shaming, slut-shaming and mother-shaming women in the name of humour. She wrote that she is ashamed to call herself the daughter of India.
In an elaborate post, Munmun said, “To the general public, I had much better expectations from you. But the mess you have put in the comment section, even the so called ‘literate’ proves that What a regressive society we are.”
“Women are constantly age-shamed, slut shamed, mom shamed at the expense of your humor. Whether or not your humor drives someone to the edge of a mental breakdown isn’t your concern. 13 years of entertaining guys and in it Didn’t take time for any of you 13 minutes to rip off my dignity. So the next time someone is medically depressed or motivated to take their own life, stop and think it was your words that made that person To the shore or not. To the media, she wrote, “to the media and their zero credibility ‘magazines’, who have given you the right to post ‘imaginary’ ‘made up’ articles in the names of people about their personal lives without their consent?”
Meanwhile, Raj and Munmun are in a relationship with each other. As per a report in ETimes, everyone on the sets is well aware of what is going on between Raj and Munmun, who recently returned to the sets of the show. Not only that, “even their own families are not in the dark.”
The report further added, “No one teases them, they don’t try to steal moments with each other. The love story is really old and one wonders how it hasn’t surfaced till date. “
Both have not made their official yet but their fans are eagerly waiting for this good news.
