New Delhi, April 30 (PTI) State-owned NHAI will develop an 88 km-long six-lane Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway at a cost of Rs 4,613 crore to increase connectivity between these two tourism hubs, an official statement, on Wednesday, has been said in an official statement.
Access-controlled Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway will start from Deori village in Agra and end in Susera village in Gwalior.
“The project will be developed at a total capital cost of Rs 4,613 crore on a build operation transfer (toll) mode,” the statement said.

Further statement said that the concession period of the contract is 20 years, including 30 months of construction period. The authority will provide a construction assistance of Rs 820 crore to the concession during the construction period, which will be related to the progress of the project.
Greenfield access-controlled expressways will pass through the states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The statement said that it will not only provide high speed connectivity between Agra and Gwalior, but will also help reduce various cities and industrial areas on the current Agra -Gwalior section of NH -44.
