Before stepping into Astaire’s shoes, Hollande has another Spider-Man film set to hit theaters on December 17th as “No Way Home” on the world.
Tom Holland is trading in his Spidey suit for some tap shoes. The ‘Spider-Man’ star has said that he plans to play Fred Astaire in the upcoming biopic.

“Oh, I’m playing Fred Astaire,” Holland said at an event in London. “Yes I am.”
Producer Amy Pascal recently said she wants Holland to play Astaire, but Holland has yet to comment on the possibility.
While Holland’s dance background isn’t necessarily mentioned in her superhero movies, the 25-year-old did play the title role in “Billy Elliot: The Musical” from 2008 to 2010.
Holland said he still needed to read Astaire’s script, which came out just a week ago.
“I haven’t read it yet. They haven’t given it to me,” Holland said. “Amy Pascal has the script. He Facetimed me first. I was in the shower and we had a lovely FaceTime.
But before he steps into Astaire’s shoes, Holland has one more Spider-Man movie to unspool on the world: “No Way Home,” which hits theaters on December 17. Whether there is more Peter Parker in her future remains to be seen.
“I love this character more than anything. This character has changed my life. I have a great relationship with my fans. I couldn’t have asked for it to get better,” said Holland .
“But I want to do what is best for the character. If it’s time for me to step down and move on to the next person, I’ll do it proudly. You know, I’d love to see a more diverse Spider-Man universe, which would be really exciting. If I can be a part of it – if I can be Iron Man for the next young Spider-Man or Spider-Woman, that would be great. But at the moment, I just have to think about the character and what is best for Peter Parker,” he said.
