‘Too drunk to walk’ Bhagwant Mann ‘aircrafts’ in Germany, alleges Sukhbir Badal

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal has asked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to clarify whether Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann “flyed” in Germany on a Delhi-bound Lufthansa flight as he Was “too drunk to walk”. , Sukhbir Singh Badal quoted some media reports as saying that the incident also led to a delay of four hours, due to which Bhagwant Mann also missed AAP’s national conference.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said the incident has “embarrassed” Punjabis across the world. Taking to Twitter, Sukhbir Singh Badal said, “Disturbing media reports quoting co-passengers say Punjab CM @BhagwantMann was kicked off a Lufthansa flight because he was too drunk to walk ..and due to this the flight was delayed by 4 hours. He missed the national convention of AAP.”

Sukhbir Singh Badal said, “These reports have embarrassed and shamed Punjabis across the world.”

Seeking an answer on the incident related to Bhagwant Mann in a Lufthansa flight in Frankfurt, Germany, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the Punjab government should come clean on the issues. The Siromani Akali Dal president also demanded that the central government should take up the issue with the German government.

“PB [Punjab] Govt is silent on these reports involving their CM @Bhagwant Mann. @ArvindKejriwal should clarify on this issue. Government of India should step in as it involves Punjabi and national pride. If he was taken off the plane, then the Government of India [Government of India] The issue should be taken up with our German counterpart,” Sukhbir Singh Badal said.

The Hindu quoted an eyewitness as saying that a man dressed in white kurta pyjama and resembling Bhagwant Mann boarded the flight.

Witnesses said the man was accompanied by other passengers. But after some time eyewitnesses told, four or five Lufthansa departed on Saturday from Frankfurt-Delhi flight.

Witnesses said the man was “completely intoxicated” and could not stand without support.

Witnesses said the flight was delayed by “three hours” due to a late flight and an aircraft change. It was further delayed after some passengers and the cabin crew pulled out the baggage of the man and his team after an argument.

Dismissing the reports, AAP leader Malvinder Singh Kang accused the “dirty trick departments” of the opponents of spreading rumors to defame Bhagwant Mann.

Malvinder Singh Kang said, “They are unable to digest the fact that Mann is working hard to get investment in Punjab.

A Punjab government official has confirmed that Bhagwant Mann did not board the Lufthansa flight as scheduled. AAP’s Director of Media Communications Chander Suta Dogra, however, insisted that Bhagwant Mann was “a bit unwell” and was about to catch a flight later.

A Lufthansa spokesperson said the Frankfurt-Delhi flight was delayed due to a delayed flight and a flight change. “For data security reasons, we do not provide any information about individual passengers,” the spokesperson said.
