If you are in the used car market, and are looking to buy an electric vehicle, then here are the top 3 EVs that might catch your fancy.
Tata Nexon EV is one of the best selling EVs in India
India is still getting used to the idea of electric vehicles becoming mainstream. Buying a new electric vehicle doesn’t make much sense to many people, but there are some people who want to buy and experience an EV but aren’t sure whether they should actually get an EV. In that case, buying a used EV makes a lot of sense, as EVs tend to have significantly higher depreciation, which means that the resale value is low and there are a good number of EVs in the used car market as well. So, if you are looking to buy an electric vehicle in the used car market, here are three good options.

Tata Nexon EV
(There are over 19,000 units of the Nexon EV in India, some of which are also in the used car market)
The Tata Nexon EV, launched in 2020, is currently the best-selling fully electric passenger car in India. Currently, the Tata Nexon EV has a market share of over 87 per cent in the massive EV segment, with over 19,000 units operating on Indian roads. There are few models available in the used car market also with low mileage and good prices. The Tata Nexon EV draws power from a permanent-magnet AC motor that is paired with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The electric motor is tuned for 127 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 9.9 seconds with a top speed of 120 kmph. Mahindra e-Verito
(Mahindra e Verito)
0 notes
It was one of the earliest fully electric vehicles to be launched in India in 2016. Although it was not a commercial success, you will find a good number of e-Verito models in the used car market. The good thing here is that for a model with a mileage of around 50,000+ km, prices for a used Mahindra e-Verito start at Rs.3.5 lakh. But we suggest you stay away from models which have been used commercially like taxis, cabs etc as most of them hardly see good maintenance. A good example of a used Mahindra e-Verito can be found here. Mahindra e-Verito is powered by an electric motor coupled with a 72V battery pack. Mahindra claims that the electric sedan offers a driving range of 110 km on a full charge. The EV uses a lithium-ion battery that takes 1 hour 45 minutes to fully charge via fast charging technology and over 8 hours on regular mode. The top-speed of the e-Verito is 86 kmph. Mahindra says the running cost on the EV is around ₹1.15 per km, which is much less than an average petrol or diesel car.
