Major news in Telangana to watch for today are:
1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad. He will confer degrees to the students of the 2022 batch of postgraduate programs at the IAB Hyderabad and Mohali campuses. He will also address a brief meeting of state BJP leaders upon arrival at Begumpet airport.
2. The last date for receipt of applications for 17,516 posts in Police, Excise, Fire, Forest, Transport and Jail departments ends today. Till yesterday around 12.5 lakh applications were received
3. Recently tiger census conducted by Wildlife Institute of India in 50 tiger reserves across the country has given good results in Amrabad Tiger Reserve in Telangana. The census, conducted once in four years, is said to have shown an increase of 19 to 30 in the tiger population in Amrabad.
