Toyota GR Corolla Morizzo debuts with more power, less weight

The Morizzo Edition gets its own unique suspension tune with new monotube shock absorbers with additional floor braces and rear strut brace to enhance the rigidity. The gearing is also unique to the GR Corolla Morizzo, with closely spaced ratios and smaller differential gears that help boost acceleration. The engine is still the familiar turbocharged 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine from the standard GR Corolla, though torque has been increased from 370 Nm to 400 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via Toyota’s GR-Four all-wheel-drive system, with drivers able to adjust the power splits 30-70, 50-50 and 60-40 front-to-rear .
