Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has welcomed this decision of the government. “The Kashmir Files is a well-documented film based on the brutality meted out to Kashmiri Hindus in the Valley. We appeal to all the residents of Tripura to watch the movie to know the reality of how Pandits were harassed and thrown out of their motherland.
The Kashmir Files tells the true story of the brutal sufferings suffered by Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990. This is a true story, based on video interviews of the Kashmiri Pandit community, the first generation victims of the Kashmir genocide. It is a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri Pandits and questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.
