Assembly Election Results 2023: Welcome to the counting of votes in the northeastern states of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland will begin on Thursday, 8 am. Assembly elections were held in Nagaland and Meghalaya on 27 February. Whereas, Tripura voted for the new state government on 16 February. A total of 89.95% of the total electorate voted in Tripura. Whereas, 84% of the total polling took place in Nagaland and 76.27% in Meghalaya.

In the two northeastern states of Nagaland and Meghalaya, a total of 352 candidates contested 59 seats each. According to exit poll data from the three states, the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to retain power in Tripura and make a comeback in Nagaland, most likely with an alliance, and improve its presence in Meghalaya.

According to exit polls, the Congress is expected to be wiped out in all the three states. According to Axis My India exit polls, the BJP alliance is projected to win 36 seats in Tripura, while the Left Front will be restricted to only 6-11 seats.

Meghalaya Elections 2023: Over 90% polling recorded in 11 constituencies

Assembly election results: Security tightened in Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland
