Triumph Motorcycles will launch the new Tiger 1200 adventure tourer on May 24, 2022, the company has announced on its social media handle. brand new Triumph Tiger 1200 The ADV is the manufacturer’s flagship offering in the segment and will rival the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the BMW R 1250 GS. Bookings for the Tiger 1200 started in early December last year, while deliveries are likely to start by the end of the month. We’ve ridden the Tiger 1200, so watch out for our review coming May 24.

Triumph Tiger 1200 will come in 4 trims – GT Pro and Rally Pro along with GT Explorer and Rally Explorer
The new Triumph Tiger 1200 will come in two variants – GT and Rally in four trims. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro and Rally Pro get 20-litre fuel tanks, while the Rally Explorer and GT Explorer get bigger 30-litre fuel tanks. The GT range also runs on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels, with the model being more road-biased. On the other hand, the Rally range gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear with spoke wheels with long travel suspension. Compared to its predecessor, the new Tiger 1200 is about 25 kg lighter.
Power comes from a 1,160cc inline three-cylinder engine that makes 147bhp at 9,000rpm and 130Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and uses a shaft drive system with an auxiliary and slipper clutch. The flagship Tiger features 49 mm Showa USD forks at the front and a Showa Semi-Active monoshock unit at the rear. The GT Pro and GT Rally versions get 200 mm of suspension travel while the rally bikes get 220 mm of suspension travel. Braking performance comes from Brembo’s twin 320 mm floating disc brakes.
