While the practice has been convenient for many, Dr. Diksa Bhavsar, Ayurveda physician and co-founder of Kadamba Tree, believes it “has its own sweet problems, too.”
According to experts, this not only leads to obesity, bloating, indigestion and constipation, but also puts pressure on the eyes and other body parts. Back pain is one of the biggest problems faced by most people working from home. The Ayurvedic doctor shared that he has consulted more than 100 patients this year, who were suffering from back problems. She said that the back problem was mainly due to a sedentary lifestyle or working from home.

1. While most people cannot sleep without a pillow, it is suggested that you do not use one. When sleeping, remove the pillow from under your head.
2. Practice simple yoga poses like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Makarasana (Crocodile Pose), Shalabhasana (Locust Pose), and Markatasana (Spine Twist) on a daily basis.
3. It is advised that you do not sit in one position for more than two hours. Take a five-minute break to stretch your body.
4. Regularly massaging your back, especially before bedtime, with oils like mustard or sesame help. You can also use Ayurvedic oils like Mahanarayan oil, Ashwagandha oil and Dhanvantram oil.
Bhavsar said that if back pain is caused by nerve compression or being chronic, Ayurveda medicines can help people manage their pain effectively with these tips.
