He will be re-elected as the party president as no other candidate has filed nomination for the post. But the plenary session is also being seen as a focus on reviving the party cadre to enter the people to make a smooth passage for the next assembly elections. According to the party’s bylaws, the president must be elected every two years and traditionally a plenary session was held on 27 April. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic it was not conducted last year and it was missed in 2019 also due to Parliament. Election. It has now been postponed till October due to various reasons.
The plenary session will begin at 10 a.m. and after the immediate announcement of his election, the chief minister will thank the cadre, where he will recall his journey of 20 years as a party and seven years in government, with the party cadre ensuring that they were the lifeline. Of the party Party leaders are hopeful that the chief minister will also give some indication as to how the party will play an important role at the Center in the near future as the party has made significant achievements for the new state. The plenary meeting with 6,000 invited guests from across the state assumes significance as the party celebrates 20 years of its existence starting from a sub-regional party to firmly establish itself in Telangana politics for decades to come. The city has been painted pink to invite the delegates, while the HICC where the meeting is being held has been taken over by the party. The grandeur with which the plenary session has been planned sends a new narrative to the opposition parties and the general public that the party cannot be taken for granted. A senior leader said a series of political victories and the near-destruction of the opposition would cause some complacency among the public representatives.
