Trump Pakistan reacts to India’s op vermilion against terror infra in Pakistan – ‘It ends very quickly’

New Delhi: Reacting to accurate attacks by Indian Armed Forces on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, US President Donald Trump at a press conference in Washington DC said that he was “going to be something” and hopes that the situation “ends very quickly”.

Trump said, “It’s a shame, we only heard about it because we were walking in the doors of the oval. I think we knew that something was going to happen on the basis of some past.”

In a clear context of historical tension between India and Pakistan, he said, “They have been fighting for many decades and centuries when you think about it. Naah, I hope it will end very soon.”

Shortly after the strike, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Dowal spoke with his US counterpart and state secretary Marco Rubio to be called ‘Operation Sindor’.

Indian armed forces started ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Wednesday, targeting nine terrorist -related sites in Pakistan, including Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK).

The Indian Ministry of Defense (MOD), in a statement, described a “accurate and restrained response” for the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April and said that no Pakistani military facilities were killed, outlining a calibrated and non-esclery approach.

A statement released on the same day by the Indian Embassy at Washington DC said that 26 civilians were killed in the Pahgam attack and that reliable lead, technical input, survivor testimony and other evidence pointed to the participation of Pakistan-based terrorists.

The statement said, “It was expected that Pakistan would take action against terrorists and the infrastructure supporting them. Instead, during the fortnight, Pakistan has refused and accused of operating false flag against India,” the statement said.

It states that India’s attacks were designed to be “measured, responsible and non-esclery in nature,” only “known terrorist camps” were targeted. The statement said that there were no Pakistani citizens, economic or military establishments.
