(Reuters) – Twitter Inc. was shut down for thousands of users worldwide on Thursday, its first such outage since February, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
The platform was up and running after a few hours. Twitter confirmed that it has encountered some internal issues that have led to outages for many users across the world.

According to the website, there were more than 27,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Twitter in the United States. Users in other countries including the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil and Italy also reported Twitter not working.
