Twitter has confirmed that it is testing a new feature that will allow users to post images, videos and GIFs in a single multimedia tweet. The company confirmed the test and said it’s available to some users for a limited time, adding that accounts can add tags to both photos and videos in tweets, as TechCrunch reports.

“We are testing a new feature for a limited time with select accounts that will allow people to combine up to four media assets in a single tweet,” the microblogging site said in a statement.
While some users have tweeted about the feature, it is not clear what different media will look like in the same tweet.
“We’re seeing people have more visual conversations on Twitter and are using images, GIFs and videos to make these conversations more exciting,” the company said.

“With this test, we’re hoping to learn how people combine these different media formats to express themselves more creatively on Twitter with more than 280 characters.”
Recently, Twitter confirmed that it is testing a new status feature that lets users tag posts with a pre-defined label, much like the permission status of the previous LiveJournal and MySpace systems.
