Two 19-year-olds drop out of Stanford to make India’s next tech unicorn – Henry’s Club

Adit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra founded Zepto just a year ago, and it is already one of India’s fastest growing “quick commerce” apps. CNBC Make It’s Goh Chiew Tong talks to two 19-year-olds about how they left Stanford University to build a $900 million instant grocery app.

Adit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra are the founders of Zepto, an India-based start-up that promises to deliver groceries in less than 10 minutes. The firm is one of many businesses joining the wave known as “quick” or “accelerated” commerce.

Childhood friends set up the business in July 2021 – right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The operation began two months later.

Zepto says it is now adding 100,000 new users daily.
