Immoral Traffic Prevention Unit, Avadi arrested two accused for running a prostitution racket and rescued three girls from other states.
Following information about a racket being run by 30-year-old Kalai alias Kalyani in Korattur, the special unit raided the premises and freed the two girls. The police arrested Kalai and during interrogation, the involvement of 40-year-old Rajesh was found, who had supplied girls for prostitution to Kalai from New Golden Star Guest House, Korattur.
On the basis of this, the team raided the guest house and rescued another girl and arrested Rajesh. Both the accused were produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Poonamallee. The victims were cremated at the Government House in Mylapore.
