Police said the accused has been arrested and appears to be “mentally unstable”.

A nine-year-old girl was killed while her elder sister was also seriously injured after a neighbor pushed her off the roof of a multi-storey building in Patna on Thursday.
The shocking incident took place in the city’s Bahadurpur police station area where angry locals thrashed the accused man, torched two vehicles and thrashed policemen trying to control the situation.
Amit Sharan said, “The girls’ father is a fruit vendor. One of them has died, while the other, aged 12, has been taken to a hospital in a critical condition. When Vivek Kumar attacked him, he Clothes were hanging to dry.” Deputy Superintendent of Police (City).
Sharan said the accused, who has been arrested and appeared to be “mentally unstable”, was a resident of Darbhanga district and was living in a rented room here for nearly a decade.
The deputy SP said, “Vivek was preparing for competitive examinations like a large number of youths living in the area. It is not yet clear why he behaved so disrespectfully.”
He claimed that the situation was brought under control, however several police personnel including Bahadurpur SHO Sanovar Khan suffered injuries while trying to stop the locals from vandalizing.
The Deputy SP said that an FIR would be registered on the basis of the statement of the injured sister.
