Uber to recruit 500 posts in India by December 2023

Uber India has announced that it plans to hire 500 people for its technology division by December next year. The app-based mobility and delivery company already has a technical team of 1,000 people across its offices in Hyderabad and Bangalore. With the new recruitment process, Uber India is planning to add an additional 500 people. The vacancy is for multiple posts.

“Uber is looking for the best Engineer, Data Scientist, Program Manager. They will be accepted as members of the global team. We aim to create world-class infrastructure with local expertise: building locality and scaling globally,” said Manikandan Thangarthanam, one of the company’s directors.

Uber inaugurated a new destination at its Bengaluru center earlier this week. Praveen Napalli Naga, Vice President and Head of Mobility Engineering Department of the company recently visited India during which he said, “India is our main market. We are interested in making further investments in two centers in this country.”

“We’re interested in working with people on our team who can solve any problems at this time. We want people who have the ability to lead the team for the future,” said the company’s senior Director Jayaram Valliyur said.

In India, Uber’s technology division began operations in 2014 in a bungalow on Jubilee Hill in Hyderabad. Later the company expanded. Currently, Uber’s tech center in India is the second largest in the world after the United States. The Tech Centers located in Hyderabad and Bangalore cover all the technical and engineering activities of Uber such as Rider Engineering, Eats Engineering, Etra Engineering, Infra Tech, Data, Maps, Uber for Business, Financial Technology, Customer Passion and many more.
