UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) The dates for the second phase re-examination for December 2020 and June 2021 exams have been released. The exam will start from 24th December and will continue till 30th December. Due to Cyclone Jawad, it was postponed in Bhubaneswar, Gunupur, Cuttack, Berhampur (Ganjam) Puri and Visakhapatnam. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode National Testing Agency (NTA).
The exam will be conducted for Phase I rescheduled paper, i.e. Social Work, Odia, Telugu, and Labor Welfare/ Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations/ Labor and Social Welfare/ Human Resource Management. It will also be conducted for the remaining seven subjects including Bengali, Kannada, Home Science, Hindi, Geography, Sociology and Sanskrit.

“The Phase II of the UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 Examination is scheduled to be held between December 24 and December 30, 2021,” the official notice by the NTA said.
“Date wise, subject wise and shift wise schedule of Phase II for remaining 7 subjects (Bengali, Kannada, Home Science, Hindi, Geography, Sociology and Sanskrit) and Phase I rescheduled paper (Due to Cyclone Jawad) Social Work, Oriya, Telugu and Labor Welfare / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Labor and Social Welfare / Human Resource Management) will be held on December 24, 26, 27, 29 and 30 in CBT mode,” the notice added.

UGC NET started on 20th November and ended on 5th December. The December 2020 and June 2021 sessions were merged as the exam was postponed and the exam was conducted after a period of 17 months. Around 12.67 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. The exam lasted for three hours in two shifts.
