Prayagraj: United Institute of Technology (UIT), nanny, Prayagraj Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), the flagship program of the Ministry of Education, five villages of the Trans-Yamuna region have been adopted.Mo), Government of India with the aim of making rural India prosperous. These villages include Bharouha, Masika, Nani Taluka, Mahuwari and Barmar.
Confirming the move, Principal UIT, Prof. Sanjay Srivastava said that the aim of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to connect higher educational institutions with rural India so that comprehensive development work can be done in villages. He said that a few months back the notification for adoption of five villages was issued by the MoE, following which the UIT sent a proposal in this regard. In the notification, the ministry has asked higher educational institutions across the country to understand and work with the technology available in rural areas and to properly implement the existing government programmes.
Prof. Srivastava He said that the MoE has asked the institutions to find out the challenges in the way of development in the adopted villages so that they can be addressed in an effective manner.
He said that under the program, many activities including house survey, identification of major problems of villages, preparation of action plan with the cooperation of village development officers and representatives and ensuring public participation in government programs would be conducted in the prescribed period.
