Thousands of students from Velammal Matriculation School in Mogappair, Chennai, offered special prayers for peace on February 25, after Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine. Speaking to ANI, Velammal School’s Vice Principal P Sumathi said, “Today our students were discussing how there is war in Ukraine and they are asking me why they are doing this. Today we prayed so that there would be peace between Ukraine and Russia.”
