Trinamool Congress is aiming to spread its wings in Meghalaya and Uttar Pradesh followed by Tripura and Goa, announced TMC MP and party supremo Mamata BanerjeeNephew Abhishek during a rally in West Bengal on Saturday ahead of the by-election.

Meanwhile, bypolls will be held on October 30 in four constituencies Dinhata, Khardah, Shantipur and Gosaba.
After West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, TMC’s star campaigner Abhishek set the tune of the party’s national plan in both Gosaba and Kharda rallies.
“In the next three months, I can guarantee that TMC will reach out to five more states,” Abhishek said.
In an ambitious statement, the 33-year-old said that it is only the TMC that can uproot the BJP at the Center and not the Congress in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, Congress’s Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury slammed the young TMC leader for targeting Congress and said, “They don’t want to fight BJP, so they are attacking Congress. It’s clear now.”
BJP spokesperson Shamik Bhattacharya said, “Whatever Abhishek is saying is corporate language, not political. The party cannot proceed with this thinking.
Earlier, Abhishek had claimed that voting for the Congress and the Left Front would be no different than opting for the NOTA button as he tried to woo voters here ahead of the October 30 bypolls to four assembly seats. He also criticized the BJP for holding bypolls to two of the four seats.
BJP’s winning candidates Jagannath Sarkar (Shantipur) and Nisith Pramanik (Dinhata) resigned as MLAs even after being elected by the people. He insulted the people’s decision to retain the parliamentary seat. BJP is again seeking votes in those two seats. He claimed that he would be rejected by the people.
