UP’s 19 percent Muslim voter turnout is going to be very important in the assembly elections to be held next year. This is because the party which wins the Muslim vote will become the main challenger to the BJP and if the BJP fails to secure a majority, it may succeed in forming the government. Hence, both the Congress and the Samajwadi Party are trying to outdo each other in an attempt to claim Muslim votes. But this time the contest has become complicated, with both the BJP and Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM trying to woo Muslim voters. So, whom will the state’s Muslims vote for?
