Samajwadi Party Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said on Thursday that he can win 400 assembly seats in the upcoming 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Akhilesh Yadav was quoted by the news agency as saying, “Seeing the gloom against the BJP government, (it seems) that the people of Uttar Pradesh can see our party win 400 seats in the 2022 elections.” ANI.
Talking to media persons in Kanpur Dehat district, Yadav said that the aim of SP is to remove the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the power of UP.
He further said that the international airport in Kushinagar district, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate on October 20, was built by the SP government.
The SP chief said, “The airport which is being inaugurated has been built by the Samajwadi Party. Changing colours, putting one’s name on someone else’s work, it has started a new culture in BJP’s politics,” the SP said. The chief said.
He also criticized the Yogi Adityanath-led government over the Lakhimpur incident and alleged that the “BJP government was anti-farmer”.
The SP leader said, “BJP workers crushed and killed farmers with their vehicles. This government is anti-farmer, manure-stealer, and is behind the increase in the prices of pesticides. The fake Baba will be removed soon.” ”
“This government has cheated the people. Under this government, inflation has increased, unemployment has increased, corruption has increased, crime has increased, law and order has broken down,” he said.
Yadav said that in the upcoming assembly elections, the SP will fight with smaller parties. “We will not forge an alliance with any national party,” he said.
Yadav is currently undertaking a ‘Vijay Rath Yatra’ in the state ahead of next year’s assembly elections.
Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are due early next year.
In the 2017 assembly elections, BJP had won 312 assembly seats. The party secured 39.67 per cent vote share in the elections to the 403-member assembly. Samajwadi Party (SP) won 47 seats, BSP 19 seats, while Congress could win only seven seats.
