This year the number of applicants in the Uttar Pradesh B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination has exceeded the record of last three years. So far 6.40 lakh people have registered for the exam. The application window is still open for three more days, so the number is expected to increase further. Candidates can apply at mjpru.ac.in.
Rohilkhand University, which is in charge of the entrance exam, started the registration process on 18th April. Candidates could apply till May 15 without late fee. Applications will be accepted till May 20, but with a late fee. UP Bed JEE 2022 will be conducted on 6th July.

Rohilkhand University has administered this entrance exam back in 2019. That year, 6.09 lakh applications were received. Lucknow University had conducted the entrance exam in 2020 and 2021. Around 6 lakh people registered in 2020, while 6.14 lakh applied in 2021. This time, it has broken the record of last three years, in which 6.40 lakhs have applied so far.
Meanwhile, the preparation to conduct the entrance exam is going on. The list of centers will be released by Rohilkhand University based on the facilities available in the colleges. Only A and B category institutions with adequate resources will be designated as centres. The exam will be conducted in all 75 districts.

Dr PB Singh, State Coordinator of Uttar Pradesh B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination talked about the high number of applications received this year. He said that Lucknow University had taken a fee of Rs 1500 last year and this amount has been reduced by Rs 500 in the interest of the students. This time only 1000 rupees were taken from the students. This move could potentially be one of the reasons for the increase in applicant numbers.
