UP Board 10th, 12th Result: 12 prisoners lodged in Agra Central Jail pass UPMSP Inter, High School examination

A police officer said on Sunday that 12 prisoners lodged in the Central Jail here passed the UP Board’s 10th and 12th annual examination. Senior superintendent VK Singh told PTI, “Three inmates have secured first class rank in class X, while six inmates have got second class rank. Apart from this, all the three prisoners have got second division in class 12th. UP Board Exam Result of class 10th and class 12th declared by Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UPMSP) on Saturday.

In class 10th, a prisoner named Jitendra scored 64.83 per cent, while Arjun and Shilesh scored 63.16 and 62.83 per cent respectively. Singh told that in class 12th, Shishpal Singh, Hari Singh and Jitendra secured second division. “It is a happy moment for us and the prisoners as they have passed the test behind bars with their determination. This will inspire other prisoners as well. And when they get out of jail they will achieve their goal.”

“We have a library in the jail for the inmates to read and those who need any help in studies get help from postgraduate prisoners,” Singh said. He said that some other prisoners here are also enrolled in various courses of Indira Gandhi National Open. University (IGNOU) and Rajarshi Tandon Open University.

This time, out of 22,37,578 students who appeared in the UP Inter exam, a total of 85.33 percent students have passed. Whereas out of 25,20,634 students who took the matriculation examination for high school, a total of 88.18 per cent passed.
