UP elections: Pinarayi Vijayan hits out at Yogi Adityanath over ‘Kashmir, Bengal, Kerala’ Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

“If UP turns into Kerala as @myogiadityanath fears, it will enjoy best education, health services, social welfare, standard of living and have a harmonious society in which people will not be killed in the name of religion and caste This is what the people of UP would like,” said Vijayan.

The opposition leader of Kerala VD Satheesan also reacted strongly to Yogi’s abuses on Kerala and other non-BJP states. “Dear #UP, vote to be like Kerala. Choose pluralism, harmony, inclusive development for medieval bigotry. Keralites, Bengalis and Kashmiris are also Indians,” the Congress leader tweeted.

CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury who retweeted Pinarayi Vijayan’s message. He said that India will be lucky if every state in India becomes like Kerala. He tweeted, “The sooner the BJP is freed from power, the sooner every citizen of UP and India will get respect, rights, improvement in their condition, work and peace.”

However, BJP state president K Surendran came out in support of Yogi. “Principal secretary to UP CM did not go to jail for any gold smuggling case. There was no communal riot in last five years (in UP). All rioters were sent to jail. TPR never crossed 20. Surendran said in a social media post, UP CM or any of his ministers went to USA for treatment. His only fault is that he never dared to hold a press meeting at 6 pm.
