Kia has officially unveiled its next product for the Indian market, a new MPV called the Kia Carence. The Korean carmaker today revealed a slew of information about the upcoming three-row vehicle apart from the engine options. However, now we finally know what will power Kia’s MPV. Now, the Cars is based on the Kia Seltos, and the company has confirmed that it will also share its engine options with the popular compact SUV. So, options include – naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine, 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor and 1.5-litre diesel mill.

The 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, in addition to manual gearboxes, will also get an optional automatic 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed torque converter unit.
The naturally aspirated petrol engine will now come mated to a standard manual gearbox. However, the other two engines – 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre oil burner – will also get an optional automatic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and a 6-speed torque converter, in addition to the manual unit. unit, respectively.

In SeltosThe 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 113 bhp along with 144 Nm of torque, while the 1.4-litre T-GDI turbo petrol engine makes 138 bhp along with 242 Nm of peak torque. The oil burner, on the other hand, produces 113 Bhp and 250 Nm. While we expect the power figures to remain unchanged, Kia is yet to announce the power figures officially.
