Be it heavy rains, floods, summer or COVID-19, Mumbai Police has worked tirelessly with adversity to keep people safe. As a result, Mumbai Police has earned praise from Mumbaikars, celebrities and business tycoons as well for always being on their toes and performing their duty.
Recently a photographer named Ujjwal Piri took some pictures of Mumbai Police which showcased their hard working hours. The photographer wrote, “I clicked some pictures of Mumbai Police doing my duty in Mumbai rain… Street and low light photography.”
His picture has grabbed everyone’s attention Chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra. The industrialist re-shared the picture of Mumbai Police and wrote: “Very suggestive” photos.
Mahindra said the photos “highlight the solitary work of these ‘urban soldiers’, who relentlessly perform their duties, no matter how uncomfortable the weather… and we take them lightly”.
Mahindra has often praised the Mumbai Police for its tireless effort to make people’s lives easier. In July this year, Mahindra lauded the Mumbai Police for speedy detection of a foreign student’s stolen valuables case.
Brazilian student Marina Leo had complained to the police that an auto driver stole her bag along with her iPad, passport, visa and cash while she was carrying her. The police scanned the footage of 40 cameras and found the accused within two days.
Anand Mahindra tweeted this commendable action by Mumbai Police and wrote, “I can imagine the relief for this young lady. My belongings got stolen while traveling abroad as a student and it is a harrowing experience. Stories like this, when shared globally, will make us a more attractive destination for travellers. Bravo, Mumbai Police”.
