Varanasi: A court here acquitted on Saturday BSP MP Atul Kumar Singh said his lawyer in the case of alleged rape, cheating and threatening a person.

On May 1, 2019, the woman had filed a case of rape against Atul Rai and others. In the police complaint, she said that Rai took her to his flat in Varanasi, allegedly raped her, and also allegedly made videos and took photographs. He then threatened to put the video online.
Rai surrendered in court on 22 June 2019 and since then he is lodged in Naini Jail in Prayagraj.
